The mountain strawberry is the fruit of the species "Rubus idaeus", a plant belonging to the genus Rubus. Mountain strawberries get their name from the fact that they grow naturally in mountains and forested areas. This fruit is usually red or black in colour and has a sweet, slightly sour taste.
