Bay Leaf

The bay leaf, one of the oldest spices in the world, is processed to meet the highest standards of modern times.

Lauris nobilis: The homeland of the bay leaf is all countries around the Mediterranean. It grows as a large evergreen tree up to nine metres high. The leaves were worn as wreaths by poets and scholars of ancient times, and the word "Baccalaureate", meaning "laurel berries", can be identified with these wreaths. Bay leaves add a distinctive flavour to soups, stews, pickles and most seafood dishes.
